Melanie Marie Supro: 1963-2012

Melanie Marie Supro died May 22, 2012, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver.

She was born Aug. 29 1963, in Clarksburg, W.Va., to Constance Southerington (mother) Edmund Supro (father) and was raised in Baltimore, Md. She graduated from Middle Tennessee St. University, and later moved to Colorado where she started work with the U.S. Forest Service.

Her work with the Forest Service took her to the prettiest places in America including stints in Alaska and Hawaii. Along with the wild-lands where Melanie worked, she also loved the small towns and quirky people who lived and worked there. She supplemented her income with waitressing and in-home health care jobs.

Melanie always had a place in her heart for Grand Lake, a place that she always came back to. Melanie had a heart of gold and always thought about others before herself. She will be deeply missed.

A memorial and celebration of Melanie’s life will be held at Trinity Church of the Pines at 11 a.m. June 16.
