Michael Stone of Kremling graduates from University of Colorado – Boulder.
Michael Stone, son of Rhea Gallagher of Kremmling and a 2007 graduate of West Grand High School, recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering physics from University of Colorado – Boulder. He was awarded summa cum laude designation and was named the ‘Engineering Physics, Outstanding Graduate’ of the December 2012 class.
Excited by his research in high energy nuclear physics, he plans to pursue a graduate degree in the sciences. He will continue to work with Professor Jamie Nagle’s research group in Boulder on the PHENIX experiment at Brookhaven National Lab until choosing a graduate program

Report: Snowmobile pinned man killed in Rollins Pass avalanche
The man who died in Grand County’s most recent fatal avalanche asphyxiated after being pinned by his snowmobile on Mt. Epworth outside Winter Park, according to the final report from the Colorado Avalanche Information Center.
