Middle Park boys soccer enters homecoming game with four game win streak
Ahead of their homecoming game against Arrupe Jesuit, the Middle Park High School boys soccer team added another win to their streak.
On Wednesday, the Panthers shut out Bennett High School 6-1 thanks to a great team effort, Coach Dane Ruttenberg said.
“The boys played with great poise and maturity and all who witnessed should be proud of them,” Ruttenberg said.
The top scorers were Max Demes and Gustavo Galaviz with two goals each, followed by Jaime Rios and Akram Hanna with one goal each.
With this win the Panthers’ streak is now at four games, the largest streak since 2010. Their past wins were against Bruce Randall with a 4-3 score, Pinnacle with a 3-1 outcome and a 2-1 victory against SkyView Academy.
The homecoming game is at 1:30 p.m. Saturday against Arrupe Jesuit at Middle Park High School. Junior varsity plays Arrupe Jesuit at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Then at 6 p.m. on Oct. 9 the Panthers face Aspen.
