The Middle Park High School Panthers lacrosse team is turning heads this spring, storming into mid-April with a 6-2 record after a dominant stretch of games.

The Panthers opened their season March 7 with a tough 3-9 loss to a strong Heritage High School squad but quickly bounced back in a thriller against Douglas County on March 13, edging out a 7-6 victory. That momentum only built as the Panthers rolled over Palmer High School on March 31 in a 17-1 rout to close out the month.

April has been red-hot for the Panthers, who started the month with a commanding 13-2 win over Holy Family on April 5. Despite a hard-fought 10-13 loss to Vail Mountain just two days later, the team bounced back impressively. In a back-to-back stretch, they dismantled Littleton, 16-2, on April 8 and then crushed Thomas Jefferson, 17-1, on April 10. Most recently, the Panthers overwhelmed St. Mary’s on April 12 with a staggering 22-5 win.

Now sitting at 6-2 on the season, Middle Park is riding high with three home games on the horizon. They’ll take the field against The Vanguard School 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, followed by a quick turnaround to host Conifer at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16. The week wraps up with a Saturday showdown against Prairie View at 1 p.m. April 19.

With momentum on their side and a solid mix of offense and defense clicking at the right time, the Panthers look poised to make a strong push deeper into the season.
