Missing woman found in mountains of Grand County
DENVER (AP) – A woman missing for days has been found alive in the mountains of Grand County.
The family of 45-year-old Kelly Guzman says she was found, collapsed and incoherent, on Sunday. She was wearing only a T-shirt, shorts, a light jacket and socks and suffering from mild hypothermia.
Brother Roger Guzman says she was too disorientated to talk and explain what happened.
Guzman’s family lost contact with her on June 9 and hired a private detective to search for her.
Then on Thursday a Grand County deputy found her car stuck in a roadside creek. Searchers began combing the area, heading in the direction of some barefoot prints fount near the car.
She was found after one searcher spotted one of her legs sticking out from a bush.
Editor’s note: This original report said Kelly Guzman was found near Fraser. The Sky-Hi News is working on a local version of this story and has information that she was found closer to Parshall than Fraser. Look for updates on this site.
