Think you’re having a rough Friday? Homeowners and @BreckPolice were surprised this morning when a suspected home invasion turned out to be… an adult cow moose. ? pic.twitter.com/8nVcOXT5ss

Colorado Parks and Wildlife suspect the large cow moose was wandering in deep snow outside the home when she fell into a window well and crashed through a basement window. The residents inside, suspecting a home invasion, called 911. When officers arrived, they found the moose sitting comfortably in an interior basement room.
We were called in to take the lead on getting this trespasser out of the basement and into more suitable – though maybe a bit less comfortable – habitat. pic.twitter.com/qsaiLA866R

Breckenridge Police and Red, White and Blue firefighters teamed up to tranquilize the moose and carry it up the narrow stairwell to a waiting trailer outside. CPW reports that the loose moose had been safely relocated to a wild location out in Grand County
