More thoughts on Muftic column
Richard Kohler wrote an excellent response to Felicia Muftic’s column of July 28, but more is warranted.
Despite warnings from the vast majority of responsible economists, the Obama administration and the Democratic Congress have passed a “stimulus” bill that didn’t stimulus and a pork filled omnibus budget that are pushing us toward unsustainable deficits.
Despite the opposition of a clear majority of Americans, they connived to enact a broad health care bill and lied about its cost.
Despite the invasion of armed criminals literally occupying a corridor 80 miles into our country, Obama has authorized only a token 1,200 National Guard troops with restrictions on their activity, and he hasn’t even delivered them as promised.
Despite the excellent safety record of gulf oil drilling prior to the BP spill, Obama seized the opportunity to shut down almost all offshore drilling, costing tens of thousands of jobs, some permanently, as rigs are moved to other countries.
There are plenty more examples. So who is it that really doesn’t care?
