Morning forage

An adolescent moose grazes on early spring grass in a mild snow flurry near US Highway 34 just a few miles west of Grand Lake on Tuesday April 5. The warmer temperatures of spring have sparked tremendous activity from local wildlife. Drivers are reminded to stay vigilant while on the road and be prepared for moose, deer, elk and other animals that may be found crossing the highways in Grand County this spring.
