Mountain Family Center receives largest food donation ever

Sixty-five boxes of food items, over $1,300 in cash and individual hygiene kits were delivered to the Grand County Mountain Family Center as a result of service projects conducted in July and August. Donation drives, which amounted to the largest donation ever to the Family Center collected in the shortest amount of time, were part of service projects organized by the Granby Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Food drives were conducted at Granby City Market, Kremmling Merchantile and Alco in Fraser, and two car washes at the Grand Car Wash gathered donations. Members of the church made the hygiene kits which contained tooth brushes donated by Granby Dental. The food drive tables were manned by Boy Scout Troops sponsored by the Granby Rotary Club and the church and a Cub Scout Pack sponsored by the church.
