Middle Park lost its first game of the season in a tightly contested game against Bennett on Thursday evening in Granby. The Panthers trailed 14-6 going into the fourth quarter and were able to tie the score with a Sam Little two-yard touchdown run and two-point conversion.

The game went into overtime with Middle Park getting the first opportunity to score from the 10 yard line. The Panthers could only manage a Johnny Stensvad field goal on their possession to make the score 17-14. Bennett was able to pound the ball into the end zone on fourth down from the 1-yard line to escape with the 20-17 win.

Next up for Middle Park (4-1) is a trip to Arvada next Friday to face Faith Christian at 7 p.m.
