MPHS football team pivots online after possible COVID-19 exposure
Some East Grand students may have been exposed to COVID-19 including the Middle Park High School football team.
Tuesday afternoon, East Grand leadership said it was notified of the exposure to students who have been notified to stay home until they receive instruction from public health. Due to the exposure of the Middle Park High School football team, those students will be pivoting to online distance learning starting Wednesday.
The school will await the results of the public health investigation and contract tracing. If the investigation confirms exposure, the district said those students will remain quarantined for the time determined by Grand County Public Health.
The remaining Middle Park students as well as all other schools in the district will continue with in-person learning. The Friday football game at Delta and the Monday junior varsity football game at Summit have been postponed.
