New 4-H club formed

A new 4-H organization called the Cedar Ridge 4-H Club was started this year. Its first meeting was Nov. 25, when the following officers were installed: Leader, Lisa Palmer; President, Bailey Palmer; Vice President, Tim Ritschard; Secretary, Dakota Docheff; Reporter: J.D. Docheff; Treasurer, Curtis Docheff; Parliamentarian, Nick Ritschard; Historian, Sidney Ritschard.

After officers were selected, members discussed when the next meeting would be. It was also decided the Christmas part would be held the same day. Then Lisa Palmer had us find out why the loin is so important on a market animal.

Dec. 13 meeting

The second Cedar Ridge 4-H Club meeting was conducted on Dec. 13. Bailey Palmer called the meeting to order, Dakota Docheff presented us the minutes of last meeting. Palmer also reported on old and new business.

Lisa Palmer wants to find out what the three quality grades are in carcass for a discussion in the next meeting.

The meeting then adjourned and members celebrated their Christmas party, which featured a Chinese gift exchange and games.
