New Chinese restaurant approved

The Pearl Dragon II Restaurant was approved Wednesday night. The Chinese food restaurant, which has a sister restaurant in Granby, is located inside the Fraser Marketplace next to Safeway.

Owner Sau Ca Long expects the new restaurant to be open sometime before March, perhaps mid-February. Fraser’s board also approved a liquor license for the establishment, but Long is still waiting on approval from the state.

The Pearl Dragon II will not be a full bar, Long added. It plans to serve light beers and wine due to its location, which Long considers more of a tourist destination area.
