New Deputy DA coming to Grand

Grand County has a new Senior Deputy District Attorney.

Officials from the 14th Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced recently that Jonathan Cross will soon join the 14th Judicial District Attorney’s team, operating out of the Grand County offices. Cross is scheduled to start with the DA’s office on Jan. 20.

“Jonathan Cross brings over 40 years of legal experience to the office, including service as a prosecutor in the 18th Judicial District and as a civil litigator defending municipalities and law enforcement agencies,” stated District Attorney Brett Barkey. “I could not be more delighted to welcome someone with such a wealth of experience to this District.”

Cross is replacing Grand County’s previous Deputy District Attorney Heather Stein who resigned her position with the DA’s office in November of this year.
