New Year, new snow on way
Grand County CO Colorado
Winter Park reported receiving 3.5 inches of new snow last night and more is on the way.
After not expecting much snow earlier this week, forecasters are now calling for several inches to fall in Northern Colorado over the next few days as a pair of Pacific storms move through the area, the National Weather Service says.
The first storm is expected to be weak, but the second will be stronger, resulting in up to 10 inches of snow by Thursday morning, the National Weather Service says.
The forecast for Wednesday is 1 to 3 inches of snow, following by another 2 to 4 inches Wednesday night. The high temperature for Wednesday is only 21, the National Weather Service says.
Another inch could fall by the time the snow starts to taper off around noon Thursday, though a chance of snow remains on New Year’s Eve and into New Year’s Day.
