Obit: Betty Jean O’Neil (Florquist)

Betty Jean passed away Nov. 12, 2010 after a long illness.

BJ, as she was known, was born on April 3, 1950, and was the second child of Bob and Helen Florquist.

BJ grew up in Fraser and graduated Middle Park High in 1968. In 1971, she married George O’Neil and they had two children. BJ worked for the cable TV industry in Granby for over 20 years.

BJ is survived by her children, Kim Messina of Denver, George Jr.(Mindy) O’Neil and her pride and joy granddaughter Morgan of Fraser, Sister Mary Wellman of Longmont, Brother Bob (Cheryl) Florquist of Hot Sulpher Springs, Niece Tamara Slusher of Denver, and Nephew Tyler Florquist of Hot Sulpher Springs.

BJ was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Helen Florquist.

There will be a Celebration of Life potluck at the Fraser Historic Church on Saturday Dec. 4, 2010 at 1 p.m.
