Obituary: Adam Randall
Adam Randall, longtime Daven Haven Chef, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015. Spending most of his life on the East Coast and traveling west from Florida in the 1990s Adam stumbled upon Grand Lake and instantly fell in love with the mountains and the community. He spent several years working at EG’s as EG’s Sous chef.
Taking a break he went to work for his brother Lee as an electrician in Las Vegas. After missing the mountains and the absolute joy he found in his culinary life, he returned to Grand County and finally back home to Grand Lake working as Executive Chef for Stone Creek Catering and The Back Street Steakhouse at the Daven Haven Lodge.
To say our hearts are broken is an understatement. Adam brought love, joy, life, and happiness in everything he did. He instantly became part of our family, and his memory will live on in the many tasks we do on a daily basis and through the culinary talents we continue to serve that he brought to each of you who dine at The Backstreet Steakhouse.
Please stop in the Daven Haven 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, to share in the memories of Adam. Light refreshments will be served. Adam is survived by his Mother Sandra, Father Joe, three siblings and his extended Daven Haven and Grand Lake Family.
