Obituary: Francis Warren Rempel

Grand Lake and Denver resident the Rev. Dr. Warren Rempel, cofounder of the Shadowcliff Retreat Center and retired minister of Trinity Church in the Pines in Grand Lake, passed away Dec. 27, 2013. The Shadowcliff Lodge Chapel will host a celebration of his life from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 405 Summerland Park Road, followed by a reception from 2 to 3:30p.m.

He was preceded in death by his son, Scott, who died in 1989, and his three sisters, Mary, Margery and Dorothy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Patt Wylder Rempel, his daughter, Sue Rempel, (George Timock), his son, Peter Rempel (Karen), his wonderful four grandchildren: Alexander Thompson, Nicholas Thompson, Ellie Rempel Rorabaugh (Aaron) and Alanah Rempel.
