Obituary: James Lee Ortibez

James Lee Ortibez, 39, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., passed away Aug. 30, 2015. James was born in Denver, Colo., on May 2, 1976.

James’ main occupation was an auto mechanic, fabrication welder, and he also was certified in HVAC installation. In addition, he was a sawyer tree cutter. James Graduated from high school at East Grand School District in Granby, Colo., where he was on the wrestling team.

James was preceded in death by his father Carl Lee Ortibez, great grandmother Julie Komaroski, grandmother Louise George, grandmother Pricilla Treiber, aunt Patricia George (Payne), and god parent Dave Jaramillo.

James is survived by his son, Austin James Ortibez of Granby, mother Mary Ortibez of Winter Park, aunts and uncles, Donna Howlett of Pueblo, Colo., Theresa and James Camderen of Colorado Springs, Josette Balardetta of Rifle, Colo., Paul George of Walsenburg, Colo., Manuel and Lori Sierra of Denver, Colo., Theresa and Alan Espinzoa and, Linda Treiber of Walsenburg, God mother Barbara Jaramillo and numerous cousins.

The celebration of James Ortibez’s life will be held on Sept. 26, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Winter Park Christian Church outside of Tabernash, Colo.
