Jeffrey John Cory, 63, of Kremmling passed away peacefully in Littleton, Colo., on Aug. 31, 2014. He was surrounded by family, friends and the nurturing staff of CareMeridian.

Jeff was born in Toledo, Ohio, to Ace Rowland Cory and Carol Somerville Cory. Jeff grew up in Toledo, Kansas City, Missouri and Omaha, Neb., spending summers at Lake Okoboji, Iowa. He attended Colorado Academy and graduated from Westside High School in Omaha. He also studied at the University of Nebraska.

For most of his career, Jeff was a surveyor in Colorado, working for a time as an engineer with the Colorado Department of Transportation. He served on Summit County Search and Rescue for years.
