Lynn H. Bourquin passed away in his home on March 15, 2025 after a long fight with Central Pain Syndrome. He was born in Kremmling, Colorado on September 14, 1957 to Neva and Red (Harold) Bourquin. The first of two children, he grew up in Grand County enjoying the outdoors and having many adventures with his lifelong friend Keith Hammer.
Lynn graduated from Middle Park High School in Granby, Colorado in 1975. He attended several trade schools afterward including carpentry school, farrier school, and training as an electrician. He loved working with his hands and was never afraid of hard physical labor.
In the several careers Lynn had during his life, he most enjoyed being a farrier. He loved interacting with the animals and their owners. Lynn was proud he was able to shoe challenging horses with a little patience and kindness.
After an injury, he moved on to a career in carpentry and learned how to do all aspects of building. Lynn was known for his meticulous work no matter what the job was. As time went on, he began to use his skills and talent to make wood furniture where his attention to detail paid off.
In 1992 Lynn married his wife Stephanie. Lynn and Stephanie enjoyed many years of backpacking, hiking, and cross country skiing together.
Lynn is survived by his wife Stephanie, his sister Jean Kelley and husband Lloyd of Sheridan CO, and his niece Sarah Kelley of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his father Harold (Red) Bourquin, and his mother Neva Bourquin.
Lynn will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His humor, sarcasm and caring manner will always be remembered. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
