Obituary: Mary Weimer
Mary Weimer, 62 years young, of Hot Sulphur Springs, Colo. went to be with our Lord on November 25. with her family by her side.
Mary was born August 25, 1953 in Kremmling, Colo. to Helen Faye and Newell Eugene Whaley. She was a loving mother and grandmother to her own two sons, her six grandchildren, and many other children she helped in this life.
Mary was a dedicated and hard worker both inside and outside of her home. She coached, worked in the school cafeteria, and was a crew leader at Winter Park ski area. But her favorite job was working for C Lazy U Guest Ranch (where she worked for decades). She and her cousin by marriage Dru would go to work sick because they were certain the Ranch could not operate without their hard work! Mary enjoyed fishing (she almost always caught the biggest fish!), watching her children and grandchildren play sports, and being an exceptional mother, grandmother, and wife.
Mary is survived by her husband Mike; sons Rod and Casey; grandchildren Reilly, Bryce, Haley, Blake, and Erica – all of Grand County, Audria Monroe of Fort Collins; and great grandchild Laithum also of Fort Collins. She was preceded in death by her parents. She will be dearly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew her.
Mary had two last requests. First was for Mike to take care of their beloved children and grandchildren. Second was to ask, in lieu of flowers or donations, that everyone please accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. By the finished work at Calvery, through his shed blood, everyone who accepts and believes in the Lord will have eternal life and she said “tell them I’ll see them on the flip-side!”
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19 at the Winter Park Christian Center.
