Obituary: Rae George Traher, 1937- 2014
Former Grand County resident Rae Traher passed away Jan. 2, 2014, in Buffalo, Wyo. at the age of 76. He was born on June 24, 1937, in Denver. He began working for the Denver Water Department in Denver in 1956 and then transferred to Williams Fork Reservoir, where he worked from 1958-1986 as caretaker and power plant operator, transferred to the Ralston facility in 1987 where he worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement in 1992. His pastimes were gardening, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Virginia and stepfather Joe. He is survived by his wife Sandra of Buffalo, brother Joe DeBell, sister Judy Russell, children Wendy (Leonard) Roberts of Buffalo, Nick (Michel) of Torrington, Sue of Sheridan, grandchildren Frank and Monte of Walden, Chris, Andrew, and Carissa of Buffalo, and great-grandchildren Jadin and Dillon. A celebration of his life is planned for summer 2014 in Grand County.
