Obituary: Ethel M. Ruelius

Ethel M. Ruelius, 90 years old and a 30-year resident of Granby, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 in Cortez.

Ethel was born in Pittsburgh, Penn. where she married John C. (Jack) Ruelius in 1945.

In 1965, they moved to Grand Lake and later Granby with their two daughters. Ethel and Jack worked side by side in Broderick Wood Country Store for many years. After retiring from the hardware store, Ethel volunteered at Christian Retreat in Bradenton, Fla. and Habitat for Humanity in Americus, Ga.



She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Baker of Durango and Mary Jane Scherer of Kotzebue, Alaska and four grandchildren.
