Obituary: Lowell B. Meinerz

Lowell B. Meinerz, 91, of Grand Lake and Loveland, passed away Aug. 9, 2010, in Loveland, Colo.

Lowell was a kind and generous man who loved his family and friends. He had a wonderful singing voice, entertaining all with songs and guitar music. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Lowell was a hunter, could drive anything with four wheels or more and could build anything with his strong, capable hands. He loved capturing the world and people around him in photos. Lowell played hard and worked harder. As a Navy Veteran, he served his country with honor.

He is survived by his life partner of 33 years, Ruby Estes; his three children, Peggy (Guido) Marchetti, Thomas (Diana) Meinerz and Mari-Kay (Paul) Carlson; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard Meinerz and John Meinerz; and two sisters, Marjorie Wrezic and Jacqueline (Jonathon) Lopez. Lowell is also survived by Ruby’s two children, Michelle and Ward Estes (Annell Livingston) and her granddaughters Sharayah Estes and Sienna (Bob) Estes.

A Memorial is planned to celebrate Lowell’s life on Sept. 18 at Ciancio’s at Hyland Hills. Please RSVP to Mari-Kay (303) 288-0016 or Tom (303) 979-8096 by Sept. 8.
