Obituary: Reg Sanderson

A Memorial Service for Reg Sanderson will be held July 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the Kremmling Community Church. A fellowship time will follow at the 4-H building on the Kremmling fairgrounds. Reginald Craig Sanderson, 77, of Westmoreland, Kan., and formerly of Gunnison and Kremmling, passed away Dec. 8, 2007 in Topeka Kan. Reg was born Aug. 16, 1930 in Gunnison to William Oscar Sanderson and Arlington Lee Crews. Reg grew up in Sapinaro and Gunnison, attending Gunnison High School and graduating in 1948. He was a partner in the W.O Sanderson & Sons Hereford ranch in Gunnison. He served as a Sergeant in the U.A. Army in Korea. He was married to Deanna May McQueary on May 25, 1959 in Parshall. Reg was a rancher, mechanic, welder and heavy equipment operator. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Reg is survived by two brothers, William Shields Bill Sanderson of Gunnison, and Thomas Lee TL Sanderson of Seattle, Wash., two children, Joy Lee DeNicola of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michael William Sanderson of Wamego, Kan., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Deanna and sister Madolynn.
