Obituary: Terry Edmonds
Terry Edmonds of Lakewood was the fourth child of Clyde and Gertude Pickering, born Feb. 23, 1942 in Parshall. She made her transition in life on April 25, 2009.
As a geneologist, she was proud to have been born a fifth generation citizen of Grand County and into a family in the United States that she has traced back to before the Boston Tea Party.
Terry treasured many long standing relationships with neighbors, family and especially the classmates she knew through 12 years in Kremmling schools. In recent years, she found many cousins and new friends through her extensive study of geneology.
She married William (Bill) Edmonds on June 22. 1963. Bill’s career as a pioneer in the computer industry led them to live in a variety of cities across the western United States. Her own working record shows many talents from seamstress to medical billing.
Terry is survived by her husband, Bill, son John Edmonds, daughter Danita (Rick) Bruder, three granddaughters Tellia and Shayla Edmonds, Brittany Bruder, a grandson Tylor Bruder, two sisters Nancy (Gary) Earl and Mary Lou (Des) Brophy both of Wray, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by both parents and her brother, Don Pickering. She is also suvived by her aunt Frances Pickering of Kiowa, who has been her second mother.
Memorial service will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 2, 2009 at the Cherry Creek Marina, 4800 S. Dayton Street, Greenwood Village.
