Once again, Grand County officials shortchange west end of county

I second the previous writer’s comment on the closing of Kremmling’s dump. Again, the county commissioners are proposing to give Kremmling the shaft by closing the dump in our area.
BUT – East Grand County will get full use of their dumps, close to their towns, right up until the new transfer station is up and running. Unfair. Gas is so high. It’s quite a long way to Granby’s dump.
People here, mainly on fixed incomes, just cannot afford this extra expense. We’ve already had a high increase in our taxes, utilities, and loss of jobs. We’ve been squeezed and gouged enough both by the county and state. Ease up.
Leave our dump open here, same as East Grand. Then the surrounding areas are not likely to be filled with tires, refrigerators and trash.
