Shelby Garrett of A&A Septic in Grand County has received the 2025 Young Professionals Award at the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport Show, held in Indianapolis.
The award “recognizes dynamic young leaders who are driving innovation and shaping the future of the wastewater and environmental services industries,” according to a news release from A&A Septic.
The trade show took place from Feb. 17-20. Leaders under the age of 40 who have made meaningful contributions to the industry were eligible for the award, the news release stated. A panel of industry experts and trade show representatives selected the winners.
Garrett joined the wastewater treatment industry 2021 and purchased the Granby-based company in 2022.
Since acquiring the company, Garrett has “worked tirelessly to learn the ins and outs of on-site wastewater treatment and sewer systems through experience, education and from others in the industry who have generously shared their knowledge,” the news release stated.
A&A Septic stated that Garrett’s goals include supporting sustainable and functional wastewater treatment, fostering relationships with the community and providing homeowner education.
