Panther student council sends bright minds to national event

COLORADO SPRINGS — On the weekend of Dec. 5-8, the Middle Park High School Student Council sent five members from its ranks to participate in the 73rd-annual Colorado Association of School Boards, or CASB, conference at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs.

These selected students included Riley Sutcliffe, Christopher Ciccarelli, Evelina Revetaite, Jesse Woolley and Lexie Sutcliffe.

With a mission statement of “Advancing excellence in public education through effective leadership by locally elected boards of education,” the CASB event is sponsored by the school boards throughout the state. School board members, superintendents, educators and students join together to participate in educational sessions and networking opportunities.

“I was lucky enough to represent our school on a talk panel, which made the whole weekend for me,” said Woollley, a high school senior.
