Parade of Lights set Dec. 5

The Granby Stationary Parade of Lights and Community Supper will light up the streets from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5.

Floats in this year’s “Stationary” parade won’t actually move. Displays will line up along Jasper and Zero streets and spectators will tour the displays on foot.

Businesses, churches, community organizations, families and individuals are encouraged to enter.

A chili supper, visits with Santa, music and a snowball drop will take place concurrently at Granby Town Hall on Zero Street. The Chili Supper is $8 per adult and $5 per child. Visits with Santa are free. Photos will have a small fee.

Entry into the parade is free, however, political groups are required to pay a $20 fee. Applications are available through the Chamber of Commerce web site under “upcoming events” at All applications should be returned by December 1.

Floats and parade entries should be in line in front of town hall, lit up and ready for display no later than 5 p.m.For more information, call the Granby Chamber of Commerce at 887-2311.
