Summit is still waiting for his forever home. He is an energetic young husky who needs leadership and direction. He is an affectionate guy who loves belly rubs.

Summit can get mouthy and jumpy when he’s over excited or frustrated. He is learning other ways to deal with these emotions, and is making pretty good progress. His new person will need to continue to work on these things with him so he can be the best version of himself.

He is intelligent and learns quickly with the right information. He seems to enjoy water and being outdoors. He is food and toy motivated. With exercise, love and boundaries Summit will be an amazing dog.

The ideal home for Summit would be an active person or family. He would do best without young children. Summit likes his food and toys to himself. He may do well with an easy going, submissive dog in the household as long as resources were managed.

An outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, running and camping may be just what the doctor ordered for Summit. He would probably be an excellent skijoring companion for someone looking. Summit would do best with someone who has previous experience with high drive dogs.
