On the Fourth of July, MCR Plumbing brought the Denver Nuggets dancers to Granby for the town’s annual parade. After walking the length of Agate Avenue alongside the MCR float, the dancers were hungry.

George Rojas of Grand Que invited them up to Flying Heels Rodeo Arena after the parade for some free, freshly-smoked brisket. The young ladies took him up on the offer and arrived with smiles, ready to mingle and enjoy some home-cooked Grand County grub.

Rojas is a registered nurse at Middle Park Health who love to cook food for the people and visitors of Grand County. He was joined by his partner and friend, Derek Davie.

“It we have a stressful week, we go out and smoke and feed people,” Rojas said. “It’s therapeutic.”
