Police investigating car theft in Winter Park

The Fraser – Winter Park Police Department is currently investigating a car theft that occurred in Winter Park earlier this week.

A black 2005 Subaru Baja with Colorado plates was stolen from the Fireside Market parking garage in Winter Park sometime between the nights of April 28 and April 29.

Fraser – Winter Park Police Chief Glen Trainor said the car was last seen around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday and discovered missing around 9 p.m. Monday.

As of now, no witnesses have come forward nor has any video footage been discovered. No other cars in the garage have been reported damaged or stolen.

However, police are investigating whether two vehicles burglaries on Berthoud Pass over the weekend are connected to the theft.
