Police: Suspect at large after Minturn man shot in alley

MINTURN — Police said Monday they are a looking for a 43-year-old man in connection with a shooting that occurred in Minturn.

Jaime David Quintana, of Minturn, is the suspect in the shooting, in which a 46-year-old Minturn man was shot in the chest with a handgun, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said.

Police responded at around 5 a.m. Monday morning to the shooting, which occurred in an alley on the north end of Minturn. The victim was transported to the Vail Valley Medical Center in serious condition.

Quintana is described at 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 185 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Quintana should be considered armed and dangerous, police said. No motive for the shooting is known at this time, the Sheriff’s Office added. Quintana’s location is unknown, but he may be driving a silver 2001 GMC pickup with Colorado 370 QPV license plates, according to police.
