Politics is going to the dogs

Grand County CO Colorado

Advocates for a Violence-Free Community and Grand County Pet Pals Present The Election of Grand County’s Grand Dog.

Throw us a bone and get friends from here and abroad to vote for your well deserving Grand County critter- to become The Grand Dog (or cat, goat, ferret or whatever). One dollar equals one vote.

You scratch my ear, I’ll scratch yours.

The critter with the most votes at the Grand Election, September 9 will be elected Grand Dog 2012. All proceeds support Advocates for a Violence-Free Community and Grand County Pet Pals’ missions dedicated to the welfare of families and animals respectively in our community.

Bark Early, Bark Often

All it takes to nominate your pet is a $25 nomination fee (checks only please) and a photo of your pet. You then become your pet’s campaign manager, collecting votes (dollars) from friends, family, coworkers and anyone else you can think of in support of your pet becoming Grand Dog.

Marking your Territory

The Grand Dog will receive many gifts, recognition in the newspaper and on our web sites as well as opportunities to travel around the county getting his or her picture taken doing “Grand Dog Things” throughout the year.

This event is a fundraiser in collaboration between Advocates for a Violence-Free Community and Grand County Pet Pals, both 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations dedicated to the welfare of families and animals.
