Members of the Fraser River Valley Lions presented awards to the three winners of the 2018 International Lions Peace Poster Contest at Fraser Valley Elementary School. The theme of the contest was “Kindness Matters.” Left to right, front row are first-place winner, Georgia Martin ($100), second-place Ashley Bailey ($50) and third-place, Dayana Rodriguez ($25). All are fifth graders. Presenters, back row, are Bob Johannes, Lions district governor; contest chair, Ingrid Karlstrom; fellow Lion Jill Suffin and art teacher, Shelley Peeters. All the posters are on display at the school.
