Sky-Hi News Staff

The first of two meetings designed to solicit public input on the proposed Grand County Master Trails Plan is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, at Winter Park Town Hall.

The meetings will feature an open house format with presentations to be given at 4:30 and 6 p.m. The April 21 meeting will be open from 4- 7 p.m. and will focus on trails in the Fraserr Valley area.

Another meeting is scheduled for June 23. It will focus on trails elsewhere in the county.

The Grand County Master Trails Plan is intended to provide a guideline for future trails development in the county as well as rerouting and rebuilding of existing trails. All trails will be addressed, including motorized, biking, hiking, skiing and multi-use trails.

Scott Linnenburger of Kay-Linn Enterprises, who has been hired as a consultant to complete the Master Trails Plan, will give presentations and be on hand to answer questions. Members of the Headwaters Trails Alliance and the HTA Trails Committee will also be present.
