Putting their heads together

The US Forest Service and representatives from Colorado Parks & Wildlife and the Middle Park Conservation District recently gave a presentation to East Grand Middle Schoolers on frogs and amphibians. After talking about the evolutionary history of frogs and amphibians, discussing the differences between amphibians and reptiles and going over the four types of amphibians native to Grand County the students broke down into smaller groups to designs posters. Here 7th graders from Rachel Kindsvatter’s science class get a little bit of instruction on developing their poster from Forest Service employee Doreen Sumerlin.
