Update: Rabbit Ears Pass reopens following hazardous driving conditions
10:30 a.m.: US Highway 40 has reopened in both directions. Blowing conditions still exists and drivers are advised to only travel if necessary.
Original: US Highway 40 north of Kremmling closed Friday night due to adverse weather conditions.
The highway between Kremmling and Steamboat Springs was hard hit by Friday’s snow storm and remained closed Saturday morning. A shelter was set up at West Grand Middle School for stranded drivers.
