Ranch goes above and beyond to help Grand Lake theater
To the Editor:
C Lazy U Ranch’s ongoing generosity and kindness toward Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre can best be described as heartwarming, uplifting, and above and beyond the call.
Since 2003, C Lazy U has honored the memories of Peg and Clark Murray – C Lazy U owners for many years and theatre lovers extraordinaire – through its annual benefit dinner for RMRT. These events have raised $50,000 for us, a sum that has contributed to keeping our general operating fund sound in the past and which this year added $10,500 to our “Raise the Curtain” capital campaign to build a new theatre in Grand Lake.
To chair this event for the last five years has been one of the happiest aspects of my tenure on the RMRT Board of Trustees. No matter what my request – big or small – the C Lazy U management and staff have been instantaneously forthcoming, seeming to anticipate the needs before I could even convey them. They WOW the “paying” guests with a delicious and beautifully presented dinner in this most gorgeous of settings, and even feed our “starving artists” who have presented a sneak preview of the season during the cocktail hour.
To Brian Gardner, to Jude Dwyer, to Joe Arrubo, to Pat Braun and the entire staff of C Lazy U, go our public and most sincere thanks.
