Report: Grand County deputy shoots, kills man at Hot Sulphur Springs hotel
HOT SULPHUR SPRINGS – 9News and the Denver Post are reporting that a Grand County Sheriff’’s deputy shot and killed a man just before midnight Monday, April 1, at the Riverside Hotel.
Grand County Sheriff Rod Johnson told 9News the deputy has some minor injuries, but it’s not clear yet how the deputy was injured.
The Denver television station also reported that it is not known why the male deputy fired at the victim, whether the victim was an employee or guest, whether the shooting happened inside or outside the hotel, or whether the suspect died on scene or at a hospital.
