A preliminary accident report by the Texas Department of Public Safety says after a fatal accident Sen. Suzanne Williams moved her ejected 3-year-old grandson into a child seat.

The report released Wednesday also said that at the time of impact two children in William’s 2010 Honda CRV were laying down in the back of the SUV.

Brianna Michelle Gomez, 30, who was seven months pregnant, was killed in the Dec. 26 crash. The woman’s son, Curran Blaec Gomez, was delivered by Cesarean section in an Amarillo hospital.

Texas Trooper Gabriel Medrano said Hartley County District Attorney David Green will likely present the case to a grand jury next week for a decision on possible charges.
