The Town of Granby has formally agreed to purchase Shorefox. The Granby Board of Trustees approved an ordinance to enter into a purchase agreement for the 1,500-acre property located north of Granby proper during a special meeting on Tuesday May 3. The Town will hold a Question and Answer Public Forum on the issue from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday May 10 in Granby Town Hall, located at Zero Jasper Avenue in Granby. The Town plans to convert Shorefox into an outdoor recreation area and community park featuring amenities such as campsites, mountain biking trails and Colorado River fishing access. The property is regularly filled with pronghorn like this small herd that wandered through the grounds earlier this week.
