Robert LeRoy Ruth Sr.: 1918 – 2012

Robert LeRoy Ruth Sr. was born on Nov. 30, 1918, in Adair, Iowa, to Clabe Bernard and Mary Magdalyn (Wahe) Ruth. He received his vocational certificate for Operating Engineers. Robert enjoyed fishing and tinkering, and was a member of the Masonic Order, Royal Arch, Eastern Star, and the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #9. He is survived by his wife, Bessie Carolyn Ruth of Grand Junction; son, Robert L. Ruth Jr. of Grand Junction; daughter, Carol Ann Traynor of Fruita; four grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at the First Christian Church at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
