Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre’s Youth Theatre Program kicks off this weekend

Thirty-five Grand County stars 8 to 10 years of age will shine on stage this Saturday and Sunday as Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre’s 2010 Youth Theatre Programs kick off. The first program, the Youth Theatre Workshop, will be a cabaret-style show that highlights two weeks of training, rehearsing and theater games. This workshop is geared toward introducing and practicing the basics of theatre performance and offer age appropriate vocal, acting and dance coaching. Participants in the Youth Theatre Workshop include: Koby Atkinson, Emma Belew-Ladue, Sebastian Boch, Kodi Campbell, Madison Decicco, Holly Fox, Katie Gardner, Bowen Gray, Ben Heil, Hannah Heil, Shayna Hickox, Belle Hoffman, Jesse Hoyhtya, James Humble, Tyler Humble, Hope James, Jack Kauber, Kye Kuriyama, Ryan Lane, Jason Langlois, Lisa McCloin, Allie Means, Janna McNulty, Genevieve Neeson, Hope Neeson, Lily Peterson, Hannah Reasy, Sara Salisbury, Rachel Sanderson, Joy Sealy, Taylor Stacy, Heather Stevens, Max Thorpe, Hana Zielke.RMRT’s Youth Theatre Workshop is extremely lucky to have Clare Arena, a seven-year RMRT company member, returning as director of the program. The Youth Theatre Programs would like to thank its official sponsors: The Grand Foundation, The Bear’s Den, Big Valley Construction, Cabin Quilts & Stitches, Humphrey’s Cabin Fever and Carquest. The young performers will dazzle audiences at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 17, and twice, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 18. The show will include selections from well-known Broadway classics such as Bye Birdie, The Parent Trap, and Mary Poppins.
