Emergency officials are responding to a rollover wreck outside of Winter Park that closed US Highway 40 in both directions for a brief period of time Wednesday.

Around 11 a.m., police responded to a head-on wreck with injuries near mile marker 230 on US 40. The collision involved at least two pickup trucks. Both sustained heavy damage and one overturned. The extent of the injuries was not immediately clear.

COTrip.org reported that the highway was closed at mile marker 233. Officials have reopened two lanes of alternating traffic, but motorists should expect some delays.

This developing story will be updated.
