Rotary Club of Grand Lake awards scholarships
The Rotary Club of Grand Lake has awarded the Glenn Harrington Park Ranger Scholarship to two recipients. Rangers Sara Straub and Stu Findley each received the $500 scholarship to enhance their careers through additional training. Straub will use the scholarship to help with her studies in Natural Resource Stewardship with emphasis on Rangeland Ecology at Colorado State University. Findley used his scholarship to attend a National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) “Wilderness First Responder” class to further his training in making proper medical and potential evacuation decisions in the remote reaches of Rocky Mountain National Park.
