Saltzman: Good Samaritan helps me back on my feet
April 5, 2012
To the Editor:
Thanks to the good Samaritan in the white pick up truck.
On Wednesday, March 21, I went to the car wash in Granby. As I finished washing the car I noticed I had dropped something that rolled out of the back of the bay. I went to retrieve the item not realizing that there was a thin layer of ice, slipped and fell.
A gentlemen in a white pickup waiting for a bay came to my aid. I didn’t know how I was going to get up or if I even could. I had a hip replacement within this past year and was hoping I had not done any damage to that. Once to gentleman helped me up I thanked him and started to drive home. Feeling embarrassed at the situation, I neglected to ask his name.
I was very fortunate that he was there and no serious injury occurred, only a sprained ankle and pulled muscle. I am truly grateful to the good Samaritan in the white pickup. Thank you.
