School district isn’t asking for additional money
July 28, 2009
To the Editor:
The person who wrote the web comment of the day in the Monday, July 27, issue had it all wrong relating to the East Grand School District’s technology in our schools tax question.
The unnamed Web writer seems to think the school district wants “more” money. This is not true. The district will merely ask to keep in place an existing small mill levy approved by the voters three years ago to pay for technology in our schools. This is not an increase. A “yes”
vote would not change a person’s taxes at all. It would not take one extra cent from that Web commentator’s paycheck.
I hope this helps to clear up any confusion.
